Distinguish introduction and scene

Check whether the brief requests direct address for the introduction and a different eyeline for the scene. Do not assume the same approach suits both. If no instructions are given, make an intentional choice that keeps the performance readable and the scene relationship clear.

Keep the dialogue partner in a consistent position

Ask the person reading the other character’s dialogue to sit where you can respond naturally without turning completely away from camera. Record a short test and check whether your eyes and face remain visible. Keep this position stable between recordings unless you deliberately change the scene approach.

Review connection rather than perfection

Watch one VIPCasting recording without sound to see whether your attention has a clear direction, then listen with sound. Look for distracting shifts to the phone screen. Choose the take that serves the scene rather than the one with the most rigid gaze.
