Frame the requested action
Read the framing instructions before placing the phone. Test the whole movement, not just the first position. Leave room for your head and gestures without including distracting clutter. Put the phone on a stable support and check that it will remain safe during the scene.
Control the visible background
Choose a simple background that separates you from the wall. Check the light throughout the recording period if you depend on a window. Move objects that draw attention from the performance. Keep the reader, notes and everyday equipment outside the visible frame where practical.
Save the working arrangement
