Answer the actual date question

Check which audition, rehearsal or production dates are mentioned. State whether you are available for those dates and identify uncertainty. Do not describe yourself as fully available if you already know of a conflict. Ask which dates are fixed when the request only gives a broad period.

Explain practical limits early

Mention travel or location limits that affect the project. Avoid promising a journey before checking whether it is realistic. Keep personal explanations brief unless they are necessary for the discussion. If your schedule changes after applying, communicate the change through the agreed contact channel.

Keep presentation details current

Check the location and professional information in your VIPCasting portfolio before sending it. Put date-specific availability in the submission message rather than treating an old PDF as your live calendar. Save the dates and the version sent in your own casting notes.
