Separate facts from assumptions
Record what you actually know: the submitted material, the result and any feedback provided. Do not invent a reason for rejection from a lack of detail. There may be project considerations you cannot see. If feedback is offered, look for a concrete change you can try.
Choose a manageable improvement
Review whether the brief was followed, sound was clear and files were current. Select one useful action, such as practising a clearer introduction or replacing an outdated photo. Avoid rebuilding everything after every result. Take a break when repeated review stops being useful.
Track preparation over time
Use VIPCasting to update the specific portfolio gap you identified and compare your next export with the earlier version. Keep a simple audition log outside the submission itself. Look for patterns across several experiences rather than treating one decision as a verdict.
